It is always so amazingly cool to get an assignment for something you already do – even when you’re not getting paid. The New York Times called about a story on Tampa becoming a vintage clothing mecca of sorts, and they basically wanted me to go explore three different shops – Squaresville, La France, and Sherry’s YesterDAZE – and shop, er, shoot. Never got a chance to explore Tampa vintage shops too much until this day, but man, those guys know what they’re doing. Unreal. It can’t hurt that we live in God’s Waiting Room and they receive an endless supply of stuff. I could have spent days scouring every squeaky rack or buried box for that random thing I didn’t know I needed up until that particular moment (nude photo of Burt Reynolds? Bueller? Bueller?)
If you’re in town go check these places out, just hands off the plaid western shirts with the double snaps. Those are all mine.
